Seal Swimming Club Limerick was founded in 1972.

Mission Statement  – Ethos

Seal Swimming Club Limerick (SSCL) are proud to state that they are a ‘Non-Competitive’ swimming club, whose primary objective is to create a safe and caring environment for all its members.

The SSCL commitment to our members/learners is to provide facilities necessary to educate and nurture, which will enhance their experiences and allow them to flourish in the skills required to be confident and competent swimmers.

Membership – The club has over five hundred members and is affiliated to Swim Ireland.

Safety , Health and Welfare of children
The club promotes the development of Safety , Health and Welfare of children in swimming and the club adopts the code of ethics and good practice of children in sport in Ireland, and Swim Ireland Child Protection policies.
